SOC teams get an average of 2,992 alerts a day, and 63% of them go unaddressed. (Vectra AI, 2026 State of Threat Detection and Response)
Multiply that by a full queue, and the weird case, the one that actually matters, gets the same tired attention as everything else.
So I built 4 AI agents on Atlassian Rovo. My teammates use them now. They handle the parts that don't need a human brain:
- Triaging incoming cases
- Surfacing resolution steps
- Matching new cases to identical past ones, so nobody re-investigates something we already solved
That last one matters most. When a new case matches old ones, you don't have a pile of separate problems. You might have one campaign. Or one product defect.
What AI doesn't do: decide what's real. That's still a human call, made with evidence.
AI isn't replacing investigators. It's clearing the noise so investigators can actually investigate.
