I came up through Collin College, with an A.S. in Information Systems Cybersecurity and an A.S. in Computer Information Systems, along with the Order of the Sword and Shield and Phi Theta Kappa. I'm also a member of ISSA, WiCyS, and the Society of Women Engineers.
What those communities gave me wasn't just networking. It was people who'd already done the thing I was trying to do, and who'd tell me the truth about it.
If you're early in this field, find your people. If you've been here a while, be somebody's people.
